Site Specific Range Rules (Outdoor Firearms Range)
1. RANGE HOURS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
Monday thru Friday: 9:00 am till dusk
Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 am till dusk
THE RANGE MAY BE CLOSED WHILE FUNCTIONS ARE TAKING PLACE AT OR ON CLUB GROUNDS. IF YOU SEE A FUNCTION TAKING PLACE CHECK WITH THE RANGE CHAIRMAN OR ANY CLUB OFFICER BEFORE YOU BEGIN TO SHOOT.
NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES MAY BE CONSUMED BEFORE ARRIVING AT THE SHOOTING RANGE OR ON ANY FIRING RANGE PROPERTY, THERE ARE NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED AT ANY CLUB OWNED SHOOTING RANGES.
2. In the event that there is not a Range Officer (RO) present at the outdoor range, one of the participating shooters should be designated as being in charge of the firing line. That same individual should enforce the range rules for the specific range and maintain a safe condition throughout the live fire period.
3. All personnel and spectators (including family) must sign in at the clubhouse before proceeding to the firing range. Only one (1) guest is allowed per member, the member is fully responsible for the actions of their guest while they are on club property. Under no circumstance shall a live fire commence until all personnel are signed in, it shall be one of the duties of the Range Officer or the member/individual overseeing the shooting event to make sure that everyone is signed in. You are allowed 1 hour from the time you sign in until the time you sign out for shooting.
4. Parking is provided at the top of the hill, under no circumstance shall personal vehicles be driven downrange, personal (with Range Chairman’s permission) or club vehicles may be used downrange for maintenance only. Entrance to the shooting booth is at the rear of the booth, under no circumstance shall anyone enter the booth through the front while live fire is taking place or while firearms are exposed on the shooting stands.
5. Eye and Ear protection are required at the shooting range, this includes shooters and spectators. It shall be one of the duties of the Range Officer or shooter in charge to oversee that all personnel are in accordance.
6. Firearms must meet all State and Federal regulations. No one person shall have more than two (2) firearms in the shooting booth, all firearms when not in use shall be unloaded, slides locked back, bolts or cylinders opened with empty chamber indicators (ECI) in place and magazines out.
7. NO ONE IS ALLOWED DOWNRANGE unless all firearms are placed on the shooting stands unloaded, slides locked back, bolts and cylinders open with empty chamber indicators (ECI) in place and magazines out, the Range Officer or shooter in charge will then check the firing line, the “firing line is safe” command will then be given by him, only then will the command “downrange is now safe, it is okay to proceed down range to post new targets” be given by the Range Officer or shooter in charge. When all personnel are back from downrange the Range Officer or shooter in charge will give the command “down range is no longer safe” and a new shooting cycle can begin.
8. In the case of handgun use at the outdoor range or if the shooters are shooting rifles in the prone, kneeling or sitting position and not using the shooting booth a “firing line must be established”. At no time will the firing line be staggered.
9. Firearms will not be handled at anytime or for any reason while personnel are down range. Down range includes but is not limited to the shooting area and the grass berms that run down the side of the range.
10. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO RAPID FIRING ALLOWED ON THIS RANGE, there is to be a mandatory delay (defined as : the time it takes to re-aquire the target at which you are shooting at)between fired rounds. If multiple shooters are on the range then the delay between shots must be managed by the Range Officer or shooter in charge. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the party or parties involved removal from the range.
11. If any damage is incurred while you are shooting or any damage is observed please mark it in the book located at the bar, we can’t fix it if we don’t know about it.
12. This is a “carry –in / carry-out” range, simply put, if you bring it in with you take it out with you, this includes used targets, cartridge boxes, any garbage that you produce and your brass. POLICE YOUR BRASS…..we don’t want it.
13. The outdoor firearms range fee’s are as follows:

2nd Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot.
3rd Always keep the firearm unloaded until ready to use.

Any violation of these rules will be reported to the Board of Directors for possible disciplinary actions.
Any Club Officer or the Range Chairman may at any time after observing a gross violation of these rules or Club policy ask the member or members involved to leave the facility.
